BRIT WATCH
KATIE BOULTER has her work cut out against Naomi Osaka in the first match on Court 2, starting at 11.30am. Despite being the No 18 seed, the Japanese is a year younger than Boulter at 20. She is a huge hitter and is reckoned to be a serious talent. How the British No 3 copes today will be a good barometer of her progress. She is one of only two home hopes left in the women’s draw, along with Jo Konta, but Boulter said: ‘I don’t feel any pressure. I’m the underdog. ‘I’m just going to go out there and enjoy every second of it and use the experience to be the best that I can. ‘I think it’s going to be a challenge in this game and I’m looking forward to it.’
