Plague of the urban fox
WHILE I respect those who feel sentimental towards foxes (Letters), my experience is the opposite.
One night I heard the most distressing cries. A fox was attacking a neighbour’s cat. The fox was the size of a German Shepherd and had no fear of me when I tried to chase it away. It is a fox’s nature to stalk, hunt and kill prey.
I could not sleep for days after this experience and I always ensure my pets are indoors before dark.
I believe that instead of accepting the phenomenon of the urban fox, these animals should be relocated to the countryside where they belong.
