Our airport options

A THIRD runway at Heathrow will cause so much disruption, with many homes being blighted or having to be demolished, the re-routing of the M25 under the

runway and increased pollution. But do we need a bigger airport in the South?

There is another airport with a new road leading to the M18 motorway, which links up with the M1, A1 and M62, facilitating travel North, South, East and West.

There are proposals for a rail interchange incorporating the East Coast main line, which could mean a 90-minute trip to London’s King’s Cross.

Aircraft take off over agricultural land, not densely populated areas, so noise and air pollution are not issues.

It makes sense to expand Doncaster Sheffield Airport rather than Heathrow.
