…AND NEXT UP FOR KYLE IT’S THE LIMPING DJOKOVIC
NOVAK DJOKOVIC ruthlessly dispatched Horacio Zeballos to set up a tantalising tie against Kyle Edmund tomorrow — but the Serbian suffered an injury fright. The three-time Wimbledon champion was coasting towards victory in the third set when he suddenly pulled up, showing discomfort in his ankle. His trainer came down and Djokovic winced as the knee was stretched. The 31-year-old played out the final three games but it will be interesting to see how he copes with the more intensive efforts required to beat Edmund. ‘I felt it all the way to the end of the match,’ said Djokovic. ‘It’s nothing major. Hopefully it’s fine.’
