Then head out to air shows, rollercoasters, sea life centres, zoos, vinegary fish and chip lunches and baffling mazes in the grounds of stately homes.
Or bed down in a hotel where there are organised activities to keep even the most demanding tot or teen happy — and a blissful spa where grown-ups can recharge their batteries for an hour or two.
