Majestic boss tops up

MAJESTIC Wine’s chief technology officer topped up his stake yesterday, buying £166,950 worth of shares.

Derek Hardy, who grabbed 35,000 shares for £ 4.77 apiece, has enjoyed his recent years in wine-related roles. He was part of the team that launched Naked Wines in 2008 before it was acquired by Majestic in 2015 for £70m and previously worked for Virgin Wines.

Majestic’s shares ended the day down 1.8pc at 476p.
