PROFESSOR BRIAN COX and comedian Robin Ince (pictured) return with a new series of their fun science show, THE INFINITE MONKEY CAGE (RADIO 4, 9AM, 9.30PM) — and the opening episode is their 100th, which they’re celebrating with the help of some famous faces from editions past. Brian Blessed, Dave Gorman, Shappi Khorsandi and Andy Hamilton, along with boffins Alice Roberts, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Sue Black and Fay Dowker, talk about some of the big scientific discoveries that have been made since the show first went on air, back in 2009.

THERE’S some toetapping live Scottish music tonight on THE FOLK SHOW WITH MARK RADCLIFFE (RADIO 2, 8PM), as Mark is joined by the fiddle players, accordionists and other

musicians of the awardwinning band Skerryvore.

THE oddball comedy BUNK BED (RADIO 4, 11PM) has built up a loyal group of fans drawn in by its strange charm. The format couldn’t be simpler: two men, played by Patrick Marber and Peter Curran, lie in bunk beds in the dark, talking about whatever comes into their minds. We never know what has brought them to this dark room, or how long they’ve been there; all we hear are their musings. In this first of a new, fourpart series, they wonder what kind of dinosaurs they would have been.
