Brexit heaven or hell?

-

CONGRATULATIONS to theresa May. as a Brexiteer, i think the new way forward is excellent. it re-establishes the authority of Parliament over Brussels, giving it the last say on new rules and laws.

it keeps borders open for trade and we take back our fishing rights and agriculture. it is inconceivable that we could walk away on matters of security and defence, as we are a member of Nato.

We get to control immigration into this country and, more importantly, our supreme court is not over-ruled by the European court of Justice.

Mrs May should walk away if the EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier disagrees with it.

it’s a great deal for our country and i would vote for it. JOHN HARRISON, Harrogate, N. Yorks. i AM a constituent of Mrs May and in the past have been a strong supporter and a member of the local conservative committee. But i am disgusted at her European proposals.

Despite the fact she has the best industrial and commercial brains in Britain at her disposal, she lacks the backbone, nerve and sheer bloodymindedness these desperately important negotiations need.

she is about to go down in history as the Prime Minister who betrayed our democracy.

i will not vote conservative while she is in No 10.

DEREK GOODDY, Marlow, Bucks.
