Britain ‘losing its culture’ THAT interview? It was fake news
BRITAIN is ‘losing its culture’ to immigration, Mr Trump claimed.
In a blunt intervention, he linked migration to terrorism and said it had ‘hurt’ Germany and other parts of Europe. ‘I know it’s politically not necessarily correct to say that,’ he added. ‘But I’ll say it and I’ll say it loud.’
Mr Trump’s strong words contrasted with the language used by Mrs May, who said migration had been good for the UK. He told yesterday’s press conference: ‘I think it’s [immigration] been very bad for Europe. It’s a very tough situation. I mean you see the same terror attacks that I do, we see them a lot.’ He added: ‘I just think it is changing the culture. I think it’s a very negative thing for Europe.’
On Germany, he said: ‘They better watch themselves. Because you are changing culture, you are changing a lot of things.’
Mrs May said: ‘Overall, immigration has been good for the UK. It’s brought people with different backgrounds here and we’ve seen them contributing to our society and economy.’
