Quit jetsetting or forget tennis dream, coach tells Becks’ boy

DAVID and Victoria Beckham’s tennis-mad son romeo has had the privilege of training with Andy Murray, playing with the sizzling Dane Caroline Wozniacki and even meeting rafael Nadal ( pictured), yet his former tennis coach declares he’s unlikely to make it to the top.

‘you can forget about Beckham’s kids because they travel too much,’ says John Johnson, who worked with romeo for four years. ‘It’s going to be tough [to succeed] because they’re just everywhere. Just play, is my advice.’

Although only 15, romeo could already be too old, suggests Johnson, who says tennis prodigies are taken ‘ at ten or 11 to those tennis schools like Bollettieri’s in Miami’.
