French actress claims Luc Besson attacked her repeatedly during abusive 2-year affair

AN ACTRESS claims a leading French film director kept her as a ‘sex puppet’ during an abusive two-year affair.
Sand Van Roy also alleges that Luc Besson raped her repeatedly and says she was scared she would die at his hands.
Miss Van Roy, 27, claims Besson ordered her to dress and behave in certain ways, threatening to cut her role from a film if she did not.
The actress, who has waived her right to anonymity, reported the director to French police in May, claiming the 59-year- old father of five raped her at the five-star Bristol Hotel in Paris. Before then, she alleges Besson kept her ‘in his grip’, and ‘ raped [ her] repeatedly’ between 2016 and 2018.
She also claims he wanted her to ‘dye myself blonde, speak like a child, and wear nothing but skirts’ in between sex sessions. He ordered her to leave her model agency and to ‘stop partying and seeing friends’, she says.
She claims that Besson threatened to cut her appearance in Anna, a thriller starring Helen Mirren due for release next year, if she did not comply.
Miss Van Roy made her allegations in a series of highprofile media appearances. Besson’s Marembert, – whose films lawyer, said include the Thierry director Subway, The Big Blue, Nikita, Leon and The Fifth Element – ‘categorically denies these fantasist accusations’ and would be presenting his evidence in court, not on TV.
He said Besson has ‘never behaved inappropriately’ towards Miss Van Roy.
During an interview with French TV news channel BFM, the actress told of her last May attacked night 18, when with her she after Besson, says they on he returned from the Cannes Film Festival. ‘I was scared of dying, that was never very far away,’ she said. ‘It was a crescendo, and even the next day I had so much pain that I passed out. Miss Van Roy told France Info that during their affair Besson ‘ set up a fatherdaughter relationship’, and alternated between compliments and criticism. He then made her his ‘puppet, his object’, she said.
Miss Van Roy, a former model, met Besson when she appeared in his film Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets, which starred singer Rihanna and British actress Cara Delevingne.
The film was co-produced by Besson’s wife Virginie Besson-Silla, 46, mother of three of his children aged 16, 15 and 12. The family live in Los Angeles, although Besson returns often to France.
Police in Paris confirmed Besson is being investigated for rape. According to an investigator, Miss Van Roy claims to have ‘drunk a cup of tea, felt unwell, and then lost consciousness’ before Besson allegedly forced himself on her. Besson allegedly left the Bristol Hotel at 2am, leaving cash for Miss Van Roy but otherwise not saying a word.
The next day she went to a police station in Paris and filed a complaint for rape.
As well as three children with his wife, Besson is the father of two daughters from earlier relationships, including one with the actress Maiwenn Le Besco, who had their child Shanna in 1993 when she was just 16.
