Esther shows off her new coat... of arms!

-

DAME Esther Rantzen has finally been presented with a coat of arms three years after making the New Year’s Honours List.

Her heraldry (above) features red roses and a trumpet on white and blue. Blue represents truth and loyalty — no doubt referring to Dame Esther’s TV journalism. While the roses symbolise grace, beauty and love, the trumpet represents being ‘ready for war’. Esther, 78, set up charity Childline in 1986.

The yellow candle is said to symbolise light, life and spirituality. The motto ‘If not now when’ is also the title of Dame Esther’s 2008 memoirs and self-help book.
