WHILE on a journey, I pointed out Salisbury Cathedral and told my young daughter, Julie, it had been painted by a man called John Constable. A few weeks later we were visiting a friend who had a print of the painting. I said to Julie: ‘Do you remember what I told you about this?’ She studied it and said: ‘Yes, it’s Sainsbury’s Cathedral, and a policeman painted it.’ Avis Brant, Dartford, Kent.
