MAJESTIC Wine has announced a second interim dividend of 5.2p per share.

It takes the total dividend paid by the London-listed company, which operates in the UK, USA and Australia, to 7.2p per share for 2018.

The payment will be made on August 15, Majestic said.

It comes after the company swung back into the black in June, posting a £8.6m profit after a loss of £1.5m the previous year. Shares in Majestic slipped 1.5pc, or 6.5p, yesterday to 415.5p.
