MAGUIRE IS GOING TO UNITED . . . FOR A GAME

-

HARRY MAGUIRE is ready to start against Manchester United after Leicester kept hold of the England centre back despite Jose Mourinho’s strong interest. United were willing to bid £65million for Maguire, but Leicester remained adamant the 25-year-old was not for sale. Claude Puel made light of the situation yesterday, joking: ‘I can confirm he is going to Manchester. But only for a couple of hours (for the match).’ Maguire and Jamie Vardy — who signed a new four-year deal to keep him with the Foxes until 2022 — returned to training on Monday after the World Cup. ‘Harry and Jamie are ready in their minds but I don’t know in fitness levels,’ Puel said. ‘We’ll train and see.’
