Camelot fined £1.15m over Lotto failings
THE Gambling Commission has fined National Lottery operator Camelot £1.15million over a series of failings dating back to 2016.
These included the publication online of an incomplete list of raffle prizes and a fault in the lottery mobile app, which meant incorrect prize results were given by the ticket checker, or scanner.
The commission’s Richard Watson said: ‘Camelot has given us assurances they now have the right processes in place.’ Camelot apologised and said it would pay the money to the National Lottery Good Causes fund.
