Boris to the rescue?

-

WeLL done, Boris, for telling the truth about the Chequers plan. If Theresa May’s plan goes ahead, we will still be in the eU.

Boris is only saying what millions of people in this country voted for — to get out of the eU without any messing about.

W. MerriCk, Uxbridge, Middlesex. WHY should voters listen to Boris Johnson? His aides came to the conclusion he was not good enough to be leader because he couldn’t cope with detail. How would he deal with the complex eU negotiations?

His chances of becoming the new Brexit saviour are non-existent. rOger FOWneS, Bromsgrove, Worcs. BoRIs is again planning to oust Theresa May. At a time when we are engaged in important negotiations, his antics will only result in contempt from the public.

He should grow up and do what he is well-paid to do, which is help sort out the many problems besetting this country.

JOHn WASSeLL, Birmingham. TWo years after the Brexit vote and still the best that Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg can come up with is criticism of anything that Theresa May proposes. Don’t they realise that to have credibility with the public they have to put forward a plan of their own rather than taking the easy option of using clever words to criticise those who don’t agree with them.

With Brexit Day, apparently Boris Johnson will soon be announcing his plan. shouldn’t this have been on the table in June 2016? i .WYATT, Scarborough, n. Yorks.
