Out with her Bodyguard, a (very much alive) Keeley
THEY have sizzling on-screen chemistry as the Home Secretary and her troubled bodyguard in the BBC’s hottest new drama.
And it appears leading actors Keeley Hawes and Richard Madden hit it off in real life too, after they were spotted dining together.
Both dressed in black, the two Bodyguard stars were seen leaving seafood restaurant Scott’s in Mayfair at the weekend.
Madden, 2, who plays traumatised war veteran Sergeant David Budd, was dressed down in black coat, black jeans and a chestrevealing printed shirt.
But Miss Hawes, 42, upped the sartorial stakes with a floral embroidered dress.
Last night the fifth and penultimate episode of The Bodyguard was broadcast – with viewers still reeling from the death of Miss Hawes’s character Julia Montague in a bomb blast the previous week.
Her shocking demise left fans hoping against hope that the ambitious Julia was somehow still alive – and ready for a dramatic return in next week’s finale.
The murder, inevitably, became a big talking point online with some conspiracy theorists reckoning that the terror bombing was an MI5-orchestrated hoax.
The BBC1 series achieved viewing figures of 10.4million, including on catch-up, for its first episode – the highest launch figure for any new drama since 2006.
