Bull is trying to put a wrong right, and it’s a good story, but what really sets this episode apart is what happens when Chunk (Chris Jackson) closes his eyes, about 12 minutes in. You won’t see it coming.

LONG L JOHN SILVER is in a precarious position as the final season takes another brutal b step forwards. Meanwhile, on the more civilised side of Nassau, Max displays more of the wily pragmatism that has made her one of the show’s most successful characters. ANCIENT NATION Greece With Simon Reeve, 10pm, BBC4

IN A two-parter first shown on BBC2, Reeve explores this ‘beautiful and troubled country’, beginning on the islands. While there is plenty of emphasis on the troubles — mass migration, money and more — the sight of glittering tavernas in the ports at night is a balm for the soul.

GOING FOR GOAL Football Genius, 10pm, ITV4

TIM VINE (pictured) gamely dons a referee’s kit as the host of a nicely thought-out football quiz in which teams answer different levels of questions to play different types of shots in a simulated game. Vine is good with the contestant­s, too, riffing puns off his conversati­ons with teams representi­ng Leicester City and Charlton Athletic.
