Selfridges bags revenue boost
Louis Vuitton handbags and Tiffany jewellery helped lift sales by 11.5pc to £1.75bn at selfridges last year.
The upmarket department store said sales were also lifted by Chinese customers after a major investment in its Chinese language shopping website.
Accessories were the main driver for sales during the period following the opening of a 60,000 sq ft accessories hall in London and the launch of boutiques such as Louis Vuitton and Tiffany in its Birmingham store. Profits rose to a record £181m in the year to February 3 compared with £180m a year earlier.
