STRAIGHT TO THE POINT

-

I TRAVELLED with easyJet to Geneva in February. From there I booked an easyBus to take me to Chamonix where I was visiting my daughter, but the bus never turned up so I had to find alternative transport.

The same thing happened to me on my return journey from Chamonix to Geneva.

Fortunately my daughter was able to drive me to the airport so I didn’t miss my flight. I would like an explanation and apology from easyBus, but it has given me nothing but vague responses. V. S., Liverpool.

EASYBUS claims the first bus you booked ran on time and suggests there may have been some confusion about the pick-up point.

on the return leg it says it sent out a replacement vehicle because the heavy snow caused traffic delays. easyBus says it contacted customers by phone to explain but you say you never received a call.

however, easyBus has now refunded your tickets totalling €41.98 (£38) and €21.99 (£20) to cover the cost of your alternative transport. It has also offered two free tickets for future trips.

AFTER my husband passed away I sent SSE, my gas and electricity company, his death certificate so the account would be transferred into my name.

I have chased them several times but the account is still not in my name, which means I can’t give a meter reading, and I haven’t received the certificate back either. I don’t know what else to do. C. A., by email.

SSE says the death certificate was posted back to you and that it must have been lost in the post.

SSE has now put the account in your name. It will pay for the cost of a replacement and will also send you a £50 goodwill payment.
