Seagal storms out on Kirsty over ‘rape’ quiz
HOLLYWOOD actor Steven Seagal stormed off BBC’s Newsnight after being asked about allegations of rape and sexual misconduct.
The Under Siege star, 66, was asked by host Kirsty Wark: ‘You’ve been very much caught up in all the allegations of sexual harassment, you had a rape allegation against you and I wonder how you deal with all that?’
Before she had finished her question, Seagal ripped out his earpiece and began to exit the set.
The father of seven has been accused of sexual misconduct by actresses Julianna Margulies and Portia de Rossi. Last month the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office said that a 1993 rape accusation from a teenager against Seagal would not result in charges.
Seagal, who has been married four times, denies all accusations.
Earlier Miss Wark had riled the actor by asking him which of his citizenships he valued more – Russian or American. Seagal was given a Russian passport by Vladimir Putin personally in 2016.
