HOW WE WORKED OUT THE WAIST SIZE

OF COURSE, no celebrity is going to reveal her waist size — but here at the Mail, armed with a tape measure and calculator, we devised this fun formula.

First, we researched how tall they were. then measured how wide their waist is in pictures.

Using a calculator, we worked out the ratio. For example if Kate is 175cm tall and in her picture she’s 23cm tall, divide 175 by 23, which equals 7.6cm.

We measured her waist on the picture and multiplied it by, in this case, 7.6.

Then we multiplied that by 2.8 (the average woman’s circumference-to-width ratio) . We converted it into inches and voila — her waist size.
