Shutting up shop

IT APPEARS the Post Office is following the lead of banks by closing sub-Post Offices in villages.

My local counter closed permanently last week ‘due to the cost of maintaining the service’, and the Post Office in the town of Porthleven is under threat. Is this a nationwide trend? KENNETH MacPHERSON,
