historian Sir David Starkey, 73, described BBC’s Question time as a ‘dreadful’ flagship show, and called for it to be axed, he is resigned to never appearing on it again. In fact, he thinks his chances of being invited on the BBC at all are narrowing by the day. ‘I’m too controversial for the BBC,’ he sighs. ‘the only old man you see on it is Sir David Attenborough — because he doesn’t offend anyone.’
