Big cheer to micropubs
PUBS are one of the best uniquely British creations (Letters), which successive governments have overtaxed through alcohol duty, leading to a steady decline in locals. But the
wonderful rise of micropubs is bringing them back to where they started.
They are all about conversation because of their size — there is no food, TVs, gaming machines or music. The best pubs are all about banter.
