Breon Corcoran, 47 Chief executive, Worldremit

PADDY Power Betfair’s exboss has joined a fastgrowing fintech firm. Breon Corcoran becomes chief of Worldremit, a digital money transfer company founded by entrepreneur Ismail Ahmed that helps migrants send money back home.

Corcoran’s move means he will likely be able to rake in his full 2017 bonus of £771,120 from Paddy Power Betfair. A third of it was subject to a noncompete clause.

His goal at Worldremit is to reach 10m customers by 2020.
