Battering for Legoland
LEGOLAND has been dubbed ‘Deep Fried Crap Land’ by campaigners worried about children’s health and rising levels of obesity.
The theme park came joint last in a league table that ranked children’s attractions on the quality and nutritional value of their food and drink.
‘Secret diner’ parents visited attractions and found that adult meals were generally healthier than those served to children.
The annual study was carried out by the Soil Association, which promotes organic food and healthy eating.
Campaigns manager Rob Percival said: ‘Some of the food on offer is simply junk. Legoland should be renamed “Deep Fried Crap Land”.’
Legoland said the survey did not reflect the healthy options across its wider resort.
