Two Ronnies tonic

AFTER a rough few months with health problems, I laughed until tears ran down my face at The Two Ronnies’ jokes pullout (Mail).

How refreshing, with no coarseness or cruelty, unlike most of what seems to pass for humour from today’s socalled comedians.

It made my day and restored my sense of humour. SUE WRIGLEYS,

Hyde, Cheshire. THE Two Ronnies’ jokes reminded me of when a 13year- old I was looking after was given homework to do over the weekend.

His task was to stand in a street with a camera, take note of how many cars passed by in a given time and take a photograph of where he was standing.

I checked his homework book afterwards and was amused to see a photo of just a pair of feet on the pavement. He had taken the homework instructions literally!
