McDonald’s soars again
MCDONALD’S continued to see sales soar in the UK amid demand for its Happy Meals and Big Macs.
The fast-food chain said international sales jumped 5.4pc in the three months to October, with the UK a main driver of its growth. However, revenues across the group slumped 7pc to £4.2bn while profits also slid 13pc to £1.2bn. McDonald’s UK business is enjoying booming demand, in part due to a tie-up with delivery firm Uber Eats.
Half of McDonald’s UK sites are open 24 hours.
And almost one in ten of McDonald’s UK sales are made between midnight and 6am.
