GARETH HAS A SAY ON ASHWORTH’S REPLACEMENT

THE FA’s pursuit of a new technical director will speed up today, and England manager Gareth Southgate will have a say in choosing Dan Ashworth’s successor. The FA ideally want someone appointed by the end of the year, though the board are keen not to put a definitive timescale on the process.
