PSG EYE £50m BID FOR WEST HAM STAR DIOP

- CONTRIBUTORS: Simon Jones, Laurie Whitwell and Craig Hope

NUNO Espirito Santo has told his back-up players to prove they deserve to start rather than just knocking on his door. The Wolves manager is considering making changes to his starting XI for the first time this season after last week’s loss to Watford. ‘There is no point coming to the office, we speak on the pitch every day,’ said Nuno. ‘The best thing when you have to make a statement is to do it in a session, and especially when you come off the bench.’ PARIS Saint-Germain are targeting West Ham’s Issa Diop and could offer up to £50million for the French centre back. Diop has made an impressive start since joining West Ham from Toulouse in a £22m deal in June. PSG want to bolster their ranks of talented young French players and have been monitoring the 21-yearold for some time. The Ligue 1 champions believe they could face competition from Manchester United after manager Jose Mourinho called Diop a ‘monster’ after his team lost at West Ham. Earlier this month Diop, who has a Moroccan mother and a Senegalese father, confirmed he wants to play international football for France.
