Charles’s fears for Christians

PRINCE Charles will tomorrow warn of the persecution of Christians in the Middle East during a special service at Westminster Abbey.

He will appeal for help for Christians in countries such as Iraq and Syria and urge an end to extremism in countries that have been devastated by religious terrorism.

Muslim and Jewish religious leaders will also attend the service, where Charles is expected to say that ‘extremism and division are by no means inevitable’.

He will add that it is possible for different faiths to ‘live side by side as neighbours and friends’.
