HE CAN’T BE TRUSTED TO SPEND BIG

WITH the transfer window open in less than a month, Manchester United face a huge decision. Do they back manager Jose Mourinho with the funds to turn their season round? Given Mourinho’s track record at Old Trafford, I do not see how Ed Woodward can trust him. The most damning thing about United is that their manager is far more watchable than the team. His touchline antics and post-match outbursts are more entertaining than anything his players produce on the pitch. That should never be the case. Having already spent close to £300million, there is no guarantee Mourinho can get United out of this malaise with another spree.
