Huzzah for Gyles!

I WAS amused to read gyles Brandreth’s list of words that are in danger of disappearing (Mail). I am a bit of a curmudgeon, so will continue to use some of them.

The modern political world is certain to move me towards dipsomania, though 35 years of teaching have also contributed.

Ignoramus and nincompoop would make an appearance in any discussion about President Trump, though vamoose is the word I prefer. DENNIS FITZGERALD,
