No kiss of kindness

WhILE the photo of David Beckham kissing his daughter harper is innocent (Mail), I don’t think it is ever right to kiss a child on the lips.

growing up, my dad insisted on kissing me on the lips. When I tried to tell my mum it made me feel uncomfortable, she told me not to be silly because he didn’t mean anything by it. But it continued until I was 17.

I can still recall the mortification and fear that kept me rooted to the spot as I endured his affection.
