Policeman probed over moped ram
A POLICEMAN who knocked a 17-year-old off a moped with a new ramming technique could face criminal charges.
The unnamed Metropolitan Police officer carried out the so-called tactical contact in Erith, south-east London, in November 2017. The youth, who was injured in the incident, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
The police watchdog is due to pass evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service. Another officer is also being investigated over an incident in Ealing, west London, although this is not a criminal probe.
