Shop myths

-

EVERY time a prominent high Street store closes its doors because the pressures of trading are too great, people are all too quick to put the blame on customers hunting for a bargain by shopping online.

What a load of old codswallop! The only online shopping I do is for cheap batteries or other items of little value. The internet is no good if you want to try on a suit or a dress before you buy it.

The councils are using motorists as cash cows by increasing parking charges. Instead, they should help stores be competitive and provide local jobs by encouraging visitors and shoppers into our towns.
