Former Page 3 girl’s road ban for drink-driving

-

A FORMER topless model tried to avoid a drink-drive ban by claiming she was struggling to deal with the end of her pin-up career.

Holly Peers, 32, failed a breath test after she was stopped driving on a motorway lane that was closed off for roadworks. The ex-Page 3 girl, pictured, said she had two bottles of beer before getting behind the wheel of her Fiat 500 on the M60 in Salford last month.

A test showed Peers had 46 micrograms of alcohol in 100millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.

Her lawyer Stephen Connor pleaded for clemency, saying a ban would hit her prospects of finding a new career as her modelling work was ‘drying up’.

The appeal failed when Manchester magistrates gave Peers, who admitted drink-driving, a 12-month ban and warned she ‘could have killed someone’.
