These Amazon deliveries really ARE going down the pan!
THEY’VE been known to leave packages in wheelie bins, underneath cars and on top of garages.
But the delivery driver who called at Jade Elliott’s home was not to be outdone – after flinging her Amazon parcel into the loo.
Miss Elliott was stunned to discover the box containing a children’s ear thermometer she had ordered wedged in the toilet pan – after the Hermes delivery driver had popped it through an open frosted window above.
Miss Elliott, 26, said she had nipped out to take her two children to see the Christmas lights in their home town of Matlock, Derbyshire, when she received a message saying the package had been delivered by Hermes.
When she arrived home, there was a note saying the package had been delivered through one of her windows, but as she looked around the house, she couldn’t find it – until she went into the downstairs bathroom.
‘you just can’t make it up,’ she said.
‘I just stood there stunned and just laughed because you just don’t expect it to be there.
‘Why would a driver decide to post it through a frosted glass window which obviously leads to a bathroom?’
The £50 Braun Thermo-Scan was undamaged because of the packing – although the box was a little soggy.
Hermes has apologised for the ‘unacceptable delivery’.
The firm was criticised earlier this week after Chrissa Wadlow, 37, told how security cameras caught one of its drivers throwing two parcels over the gates of her driveway.
