Gang’s 200 burglaries

A GANG of travellers carried out more than 200 burglaries in an 11-month spree described by a judge as the worst he had ever seen.

The raiders wreaked ‘ immense trauma’ as they targeted homes and businesses to net a haul worth £2million.

High- powered cars, firearms and jewellery were among items they stole in East Anglia and spirited away to the criminal underworld.

The 12-strong gang were jailed for a total of 71 years at Norwich Crown Court by Judge Stephen Holt.

Nine admitted conspiracy to commit burglary, including career criminal John Loveridge, 42, from a traveller site in Norfolk, who was jailed for sevenand-a-half years.
