Is the TV show Strictly unfair?
AS An avid fan of Strictly since it began, I feel that pitting experienced celebrity dancers against novices is not what it should be about. Competitors with far less experience than Faye Tozer and Ashley Roberts have been pilloried in the past. Ashley has come in for most of the criticism, while Faye appears to have glided along with few adverse comments. Is this fair? Far from her dancing experience being limited to a few routines with the pop group Steps, Faye attended the Anne Gale School of Dance in Luton, where she achieved qualifications in ballet, tap and modern. She was also a back-up dancer for ITV’s Dancing On Ice and has appeared in numerous stage shows and musicals.
