LEAGUE ONE
THIS WEEKEND
HERO OF THE WEEK
KENNY JACKETT (Portsmouth manager): It looks set to be a happy Christmas for Jackett and his players. Pompey have won 14, drawn five and lost once. They are six points clear after beating Southend 2-0 at home. Should Jackett’s side beat second-placed Sunderland he’ll start to believe they can win the title.
ZERO OF THE WEEK
WAEL AL-QADI (Bristol Rovers owner): Another week and another call for an owner to sell up. When he bought Rovers in 2016 new training facilities and a new ground were promised, but nearly three years on those plans are dead and the club are 21st in League One after a 4-0 home loss against Doncaster.
GOAL OF THE WEEK
SIRIKI DEMBELE (for Peterborough v Oxford): Dembele, picked out by Sportsmail’s Secret Scout last week, dribbled from the halfway line, jinked inside before finding the top left corner in Posh’s 2-2 draw with Oxford.
