Slimline Huw: ‘I’m a gay pin-up’

NEWLY slimmed down BBC newsreader Huw Edwards, who lost three stone after taking up boxing, thinks he now has the right physique for Strictly Come Dancing.

‘I think I could move a bit more now and I’m lighter on my feet,’ he says. ‘Life is about challenges. So yes, why not, but as yet no one has asked me.’

Meanwhile the father of five (left) — who is married to former TV producer Vicky Flind — is enjoying his newfound status as a sex symbol.

‘I found out that I am even quite popular with the LGBT fans which is astounding.’
