TIZZARD FEAR FOR INJURED ELDORADO

- MARCUS TOWNEND

ELDORADO ALLEN’S season could be over, trainer Colin Tizzard has revealed, after the hugely promising novice hurdler sustained an injury when brought down at Aintree last Saturday. The easy Sandown winner was one of a clutch of young hurdlers at the head of the ante-post betting for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. But Tizzard said: ‘Eldorado Allen hurt his hock. He could be out for a month but it might be the season.’ Tizzard’s Elixir Du Nutz will have one more run before heading for the Supreme after he made all the running to make it two course wins this season with a length-and-three-quarters success under Harry Cobden in the EBF Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham yesterday.
