Amazon gifts that just didn’t deliver
DISAPPOINTED customers have complained that online retail giant Amazon left them high and dry for Christmas.
Shoppers said the company ‘ruined Christmas’ with late and incomplete orders.
One customer posted online: ‘Not happy with Amazon at the moment. Ordered two games for our daughter. Both sealed packages and both empty. That’s half our daughter’s Christmas gift that she can’t have.’ And a member of Amazon Prime – a service which costs £79 a year for an unlimited number of next-day deliveries – said the company ‘failed to deliver half the presents I bought’.
Amazon said it ‘works very hard to deliver on our fast shipping promise’, adding: ‘If there is an issue, our team will work with the customer directly to make things right.’
