Anger at Economy Energy
ECONOMY ENERGY is facing a backlash from customers who were promised refunds, but left out of pocket this Christmas. Money Mail has sent a dossier of the complaints to the energy watchdog.
Dozens wrote in after we revealed last week how customers who had switched from the energy provider had waited months to get back credit on gas and electricity accounts. One reader told how he had been forced to use his overdraft because the £500 refund he expected to receive before Christmas never arrived.
Customers who have not received a promised refund should make a complaint to the supplier. If that is not resolved within eight weeks, they should contact the Energy Ombudsman on 0330 440 1624.
