Ranieri: Home wins keep us up

- By ADAM CRAFTON

FULHAM boss Claudio Ranieri has urged his side to address their home form if they are to stand any chance of staying in the Premier League.

Ranieri’s side are bottom of the league and have only taken eight points from a possible 24 at home. Only Cardiff have conceded more home goals than Fulham’s 18.

‘They fought a lot to get back into the Premier League so it’s important for them,’ Ranieri said. ‘I’d like to get more points at home in front of our fans because they deserve it. Did you see against West Ham? The fans are unbelievable. It was one of our best first halves, we conceded twice, but I am sure we will do better.’

Ranieri wasn’t able to explain how his team have fared so differently to Wolves after the two clubs achieved promotion last season and then splurged in the summer.

Fulham spent £105million while Wolves spent £60m as they both hoped to impress in the top flight.

However, Fulham only have 10 points from 18 games, while Wolves on 25 points, find themselves 13 points clear of the relegation zone.

The Italian said: ‘Always one team is stronger than another but you can never say it’s sure they win.’
