Coy Coogan’s secret love: an ex-model half his age

WITH Steve Coogan’s acclaimed new Laurel and Hardy film, Stan & Ollie, the toast of awards season, it seems he has found the perfect woman to accompany him to all those ceremonies.

I can disclose that the comedian, 53, is secretly courting a Canadian beauty 26 years his junior: Jacqui de Padoin Goodman. And he’s even moved her into his West London home.

‘She’s one of the most gorgeous people I’ve ever met,’ one of her girlfriends gushes. ‘My work mates even put a photo of her on the fridge. She’s whip smart and really funny.’

The former model, who was born in Toronto before moving to London in 2016, works in film development and recently left an international firm to work for Coogan.

Best known in this country for his politically incorrect alter ego Alan Partridge, Coogan has had a colourful love life, counting among his exes rock singer Courtney Love, Nat Rothschild’s nowwife Loretta Basey and Downton Abbey actress Daisy Lewis.

He also has a 22-year-old daughter, Clare, with his ex-girlfriend Anna Cole.

‘ Steve’s daughter and family seem to love her,’ the pal says of Jacqui (left, and above with Coogan). ‘Steve’s clearly very much in love and doting on her.’

Before moving into film, Jacqui was an art dealer. She writes of herself: ‘I founded my own company at 22, and sold two Warhols, so I know how to charm, hustle, talk to people, and sell things beyond my means.’

Sounds like Coogan may have finally met his match.
