SO WHERE WILL THE SHOCKS COME FROM THIS WEEKEND?

-

DERBY v SOUTHAMPTON

Today, 3pm FRANK LAMPARD lifted the trophy four times with Chelsea as a player and now goes off in search of a first FA Cup giant-killing as Derby manager. His side knocked Manchester United out of the Carabao Cup and will be licking their lips at the prospect of a home tie against Premier League strugglers Southampton. Derby will fancy their chances of making Ralph Hasenhuttl’s first Cup experience a thoroughly miserable one. Chance of an upset: 5/5

EVERTON v LINCOLN

Today, 3pm LINCOLN’S run to the quarterfinals as a non-league team in 2017 captured the imagination as they saw off Ipswich, Brighton and Burnley before losing to Arsenal. Two years on, Danny Cowley’s side sit four points clear at the top of League Two. While promotion is naturally their aim this season, they will rekindle their giant-killing spirit against out-ofsorts Everton and will be backed by 5,500 fans at Goodison Park. Chance of an upset: 3/5

GILLINGHAM v CARDIFF

Today, 3pm GILLINGHAM are currently at the wrong end of League One but could profit at Priestfield if Cardiff manager Neil Warnock, as expected, makes wholesale changes with one eye on the club’s Premier League relegation battle. Cardiff’s back line has often been a shambles this season so watch out for Gillingham striker Tom Eaves, who has netted 15 times in 29 games this season in a struggling side and should ruffle a few feathers. Chance of an upset: 3/5

BLACKPOOL v ARSENAL

Today, 5.30pm UNAI EMERY’S first taste of the FA Cup will come at Bloomfield Road, where he is almost certain to field a team with a youthful complexion. That offers League One Blackpool a whiff of an upset in front of the television cameras. It is fair to say this game has been a distraction for Blackpool, who have lost four of their last five league games since the draw was made. But having given Arsenal a few scares when the teams met at the Emirates in October in the Carabao Cup, you never know. Chance of an upset: 2/5

BRISTOL CITY v HUDDERSFIELD

Today, 5.30pm AFTER eight consecutive league defeats, you would think the FA Cup may provide a welcome relief for beleaguered Huddersfield. Hardly. They are away to in-form Bristol City, who remain in touch with the Championship play- off places and beat four top-flight sides in last season’s Carabao Cup. Given Huddersfield’s aversion to scoring at the moment, this is a fiendish assignment. Chance of an upset: 4/5

WOKING v WATFORD

Tomorrow, 2pm TO most fans, the mention of Woking conjures memories of Tim Buzaglo’s hat-trick at West Brom in 1991 and their subsequent narrow defeat at Everton. The Surrey club have another chance to grab the headlines when they host Watford. There is a six-division gap between these two teams and Watford are unlikely to take too many chances with their team selection with a decent Cup run for Javi Gracia’s side most certainly achievable this season. Chance of an upset: 2/5

NEWPORT v LEICESTER

Tomorrow, 4.30pm LEAGUE TWO Newport caused Tottenham plenty of problems in last season’s fourth round to earn a replay at Wembley and again welcome Premier League opposition to their Rodney Parade home. But the mid-table Welsh side are in poor form of late. Their secondround replay win over Wrexham was their only taste of success since late November. Leicester boss Claude Puel picked a weakened side for the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester City and went out on penalties. Will he make the same mistake again? Chance of an upset: 1/5
